Khaki, really ?!

Hey guys !

What's up ? It's exam day 5 in my I-have-no-social contacts-anymore life and today I was wearing Orly - Country Club Khaki (which seems to have brought me luck) ;)

Anyway, I don't know if I have vision issue or what but I can't see the khaki in this color... It appears to me more taupe than khaki. What do you gals think ? However the lake of khaki-ness in this one, it's a pretty neutral edgy polish which is also really smooth. I only needed two coats.

Let's see if it lasts longer on me than OPI - Over the Taupe. I'm gonna try a little stamping on this one right now, even if I love it (I get bored easily as far as polish are concerned). How often do you guys change polish ? I could change everyday if I had the time, just to match my outfit ;)

Update: here is the stamping attempt. I really need to practice the use of the dotting stick ;)

OPI - Dim Sum Plum

Hello dear readers !

Here's the color I chose for my 4th exam. It's Dim Sum Plum from the OPI Hong Kong Collection. I would say it's a classic color, sort of a dark pink with a drop of plum in it. It's a nice color for intermediate season in my opinion, not too dark, not too flashy.

The thing I like the most about this polish is the application. OMG, it's so good (like every polish I own from the HK collection). I only needed two coats but I think it could maybe be a one coater, if you go with a thick one.

I love most of the colors of that collection, the creme ones anyway. For me it's one of the best OPI collection so far.

Do you guys like it ? Which color from the Hong Kong collection is your favorite ?

Frustration

I really need to share my frustration with you right now...

I was on the Zoya website looking at all those beautiful shades when I found out that there is a polish which is named like me. Great right ? Well, not so great... the thing is Zoya doesn't deliver outside the US. Boohoohoo... :(

I really need to find a way to get this polish (and I love the color too... corals are my thing, it isn't just about the name !)

Anyway here's the polish:

Can you guys guess which one is this ? And do you have a Zoya polish which is named exactly like you ?

Exam Day 3

Hey dear followers,

Hope everyone's week has started nicely...

Today I was wearing OPI - A Grape Fit which is gorgeous but really hard to capture. I'm so sorry for those bad pics (and for my cuticles who look awful...). They don't really do that polish justice.
It's a lilac creme but depending on the light it seems to have a little bit of gray in it. The application was smooth and it gets opaque in two coats.

Artificial light

Natural light
What do you think of that polish ? Do you have a favorite lilac polish ?

China Glaze - Pink Voltage

Hi guys,

I know it's winter but I really wanted to wear a neon... I love China Glaze - Pink Voltage.

It's a beautiful blue pink with subtle shimmer. It needed three coats to be opaque, but neverminds, drying time was great. The application was flawless. You really want to put top coat on it 'cause it dries a little bit matte.

Do you guys choose colors depending on the weather ? 'Cause obviously I don't...

Exam Day 2: Extravagance

Hey there !

Today was another exam day so I chose another law school appropriate polish (boring I know...). Anyway here's OPI - DS Extravagance which is actually one of the first OPI I bought way back when I was in the US on vacation about two years ago. That's the time when the addiction began...

An attempted blurry pic to show the sparkles
Oh and guess what I found today ? Chanel polishes on clearance.... Can you guess which one I bought ? No, it's not Riva... I can't deal with 4 coaters... Clue: It's a fall 2008 limited edition... Swatch coming soon ! ;)

OPI - Over the Taupe or : A lasting-is-not-so-over-the-top polish

Hi !
A quick post to show you the famous OPI – Over the Taupe. I took an exam today and I thought this polish would be appropriate to talk in front of my law school professor…

I love this color very much but I don’t know why that particular polish doesn’t seem to last as long as my other OPI polishes on me. Do you guys have chipping issues too ? Or doesn't OTT like me ?
That being said, I’m officially looking for a new taupe polish to add to my collection. Any suggestion ?

Hello everyone !

Here's the first design I've chosen to show you ... even if it's not X-mas anymore ... :)

For this design I used :

- 2 coats of China Glaze Ruby Pumps
- Misa Heaven White
- Essence Check Me Out

Sorry about the picture's quality, but it has been taken with my phone (in the dark :-S) ... There's a lot more like that to come, but I promise : From now, my sister obliges me to take good pictures with a real camera. (What a bully !)
So, excuse me for the next ones, later will be better ;)

China Glaze - Mrs. Claus

Hello addicts !
For the first swatch of this blog I’ve chosen China Glaze – Mrs. Claus from the 2010 Christmas collection. This polish doesn’t really make me think about Christmas, it's probably too pink but the silver glitters are nice and sparkly.
I have to say I’m not so fond of this polish. I will have to try wearing it during summer maybe. I think it would be nice with a flower dress.
I had some trouble with this one actually. It was a bit thick and not so easy to clean up. I should have chosen another polish for a first swatch… :) Oh and I used two coats.

Anyway, what was your favorite China Glaze Christmas polish ?
